It might take a little longer than a charter, but the ride itself is educational and would make the next generation more comfortable with using public transportation.

They have a magnificent entry sequence to their theme parks via a monorail. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were a monorail connecting their planned resort in Ko’ olina with the airport? What a wonderful, unique and hassle free introduction to the Island and overview of the landscape. It could be circular to afford both mauka and makai views.  Stops for Local travelers can be added in increments based upon rider demand. It would be nice to have an amenity which is designed to accommodate both tourists and residents with a minimal foot print on the land.The Disney People probably know how to do it just right. I wonder if there is any way that they would.

Rather than building an imposing and expensive, not to mention aesthetically challenging superstucture or digging a big hole, how about a half hole in the ground? What if a half radius of a circle is created in which to lay the tracks below grade and the excavated soil can be mounded into a berm over a concrete vault? Maybe the berm would be ten feet tall and flattened on top for a bike and/or walking path. The berm would be low enough that it could be easily bridged for vehicular or pedestrian traffic. It would be high enough to be safely separated from human and other obstacles. What do you think about that?
